Stapleton REALTORS Come Together – Denver, CO

Stapleton REALTORS Come Together – Denver, CO

Stapleton is such a great place to live and work. Even thought the weather threw a huge monkey wrench into the block party last weekend, many great neighbors still came out last Sunday to get together and reconnect. The pools open next weekend, which also marks the return of the Sweet William Market. Next come the farmer’s market, summer concert series, theater on the green, movie nights, and so much more. All these activities definitely help to build the sense of community for which Stapleton is known.

But I’m constantly blown away by the sense of community I see among Stapleton REALTORS. For example, there is a group of REALTORS that live and work here that comes together once a month to tour each other’s listings, give feedback, and exchange stories and ideas.  I, for one, have found this level of cooperation invaluable.  Below is an example of the feedback I received from my colleagues after they toured my listing at 9002 E 24th Pl:

  • Basic, but priced well based on the upgrades. I’ve sold this model/floorplan before (the neighbor’s unit next door) and it takes patience. The right buyer will eventually find it.
  • Great home for lower price Stapleton.  Nice cabinets.  Not many upgrades but that’s alright for the price.  Great location.  Nice.  Quite.  Like it.
  • Seems priced well for square footage.
  • Good price for entry level.  I would add some flowers, colorful pictures or throw…
  • Could benefit from staging (fresh flowers, pictures, etc.).
  • Like: Location and price baby! Covered porch.
  • Great location.  Cute porch.
Without exception everyone thought it is priced just right, and most felt the location and open floor plan were the best features.  What is great is the ability to share these professional opinions with the seller.  Based on this feedback we added some color and slightly rearranged the furniture.

The broker tour also resulted in at least three of the other Stapleton REALTORS in this group showing my listing to their buyers.  So, even though this wonderful home hasn’t sold yet, thank you to them and the other REALTORS that I am lucky to call colleagues, friends and neighbors.

Ready for Stapleton’s Wild Trick or Treating?

Ready for Stapleton’s Wild Trick or Treating?

As the air is finally turning cooler, it feels like fall in Stapleton. Last week we had the final Farmer’s Market of the year with the annual free pumpkin patch for the kids.  The pumpkin patch is always a great place to catch up with friends and neighbors and enjoy a great picture opportunity.  Everyone has ample opportunity to pick their pumpkin, buy some great local produce and other lovely items from the vendors at the market.  We are sad to see the market end, but this is the sure sign that winter is around the corner. (And the fun sledding that comes along with it!)

As the front porches get covered in cobwebs, pumpkins and spiders, we know that the wild night of trick or treating is just around the corner.  My kids are counting the days until Halloween is finally here.

Trick or treating in Stapleton is always a fabulous affair.  Since we know almost everyone in our immediate neighborhood through all the great community events in Stapleton, we feel secure in knowing where the candy comes from and that it is safe.  The streets here are well lit and the houses not too far apart.  It is the ideal Halloween environment.  We see all our friends and neighbors who are either passing out candy or passing us in their costumes on the street.  Everyone has a great time as the streets are crowded with kids in costumes and chilly parents.  We all smile as we see all the kids in their adorable costumes.  It is a fun night for everyone.

Trick or treating is also a great way to integrate with the surrounding community.  In the green book, one of the goals for Stapleton was to integrate with the surrounding community.  Every year we see tons of people from the surrounding neighborhoods joining us in a fun and safe Halloween.  Just one more thing that make Stapleton a great place to live!
